Being Redeemed by Favor, Walking in Obedience

Being Redeemed by Favor, Walking in Obedience

Last time, we discussed how Scripture defines sin and what it means to love Elohim. Now let's dig into the relationship between favor and obedience.

If you were to stand before Elohim today and He asked, "Why should I let you into My Kingdom?" what would you say? More importantly, could you answer with His Word?

Favor First: Titus 3:3-8 reminds us that we are saved not by works of righteousness, but by Yahuah's compassion through Yahushua.

"Not by works of righteousness which we have done but according to His compassion..."

Then Obedience: Once we receive His gift of salvation, we begin to walk in obedience, not to earn salvation, but as the natural response of a heart transformed.

Yahushua did not come to abolish the law, but to fulfill it (Matthew 5:17-19). He walked it out perfectly and taught us to follow Him.

In the book of John 3:36, we read,

"He who believes in the Son possesses everlasting life, but he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of Elohim remains on him.

How Do We Walk in Truth?

  • We keep His commands out of love (1 John 5:2-4)
  • We maintain good works (Titus 3:8)
  • We overcome the world through belief (John 16:33; 1 John 5:4)

We do not walk in righteousness to redeem ourselves. We walk in righteousness because we have chosen to allow Yahuah to redeem us. Let your obedience be a living testimony of your belief.

In the next post, we'll dive into one commandment often forgotten or misunderstood today: the Sabbath.
