To live is a great thing. Yahusha died upon the cross so that we might live with Him for eternity, if we choose it. If we choose to follow in His way, His truth, the Torah.

Yahusha said in John 14:6,

“I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

You see, we must come to the Father to live, to truly LIVE. And we must ask Him daily to help us to be more like Him. We must first come to Him, then ask for the Truth, and then we will have LIFE. Yes, people can and are living right now without Yahuah in their lives, but are they really LIVING? Are they living for something worth living for (like Yahusha)? Or are they just puppets for the enemy’s scheme?

For a while I thought that if I wasn’t good enough to “make it into heaven”, when Yahusha returns, that would be okay. I mean, I just wouldn’t be able to live with Yahuah in His house, and just would have to live in She’ol, for eternity. Forever.
Thus were my thoughts until I heard the story of the two men in Luke 16, starting at verse 19. One was wealthy, and the other a beggar named El'azar, and the rich man fed the beggar from the crumbs of his table. Eventually, both men died, and the rich man, while suffering tortures in She’ol, saw far in the distance Abraham, with him in his bosom El’azar. Then the rich man asked Abraham,

“Father Aḇraham, have compassion on me, and send El‛azar to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am suffering in this flame.”

Then Abraham basically said, “Well, remember that you got your good in your lifetime, and El’azar the evil, so now it’s switched.”

The wealthy man then asked if Father Abraham would send Ela’zar to his father’s house to warn his five brothers, so that they wouldn’t have to suffer the tortures in She’ol.

(You can read the rest of this story in Luke 16:19-31)

You see, I didn’t know that in the depths of She’ol there would be tortures. So I was okay to be there. And we don’t know how long torture will last, probably forever. But now, I realize I would rather suffer the pain and death just once here on earth for my Master, so that I could live with Him for eternity.

Living for and with Yahuah has so much more meaning than most people realize. When you’re living for Yahusha, you have a purpose, something to do every day. A mission. When you’re living with Yahusha, you have peace, a settling peace. The thought that my work for Him here on earth pleases my heavenly Father, that it puts a smile upon His face, encourages me to walk more and more each day on the path that He wants me to walk.

He is our Father, we can talk to Him about anything, ask Him to give us that purpose, peace, that LIFE worth living.
