Has anyone ever told you a secret? Have you ever had a secret that you shared with someone? Typically, secrets are shared with a confidant, trustworthy person, right? Secrets are shared with folks that you trust. You do not share a secret with everyone, only certain individuals. These individuals are honorable, trustworthy, faithful, having displayed righteous character, and a friend to you. Look at this beautiful scripture:
“The secret matters belong to יהוה our Elohim, but what is revealed belongs to us and to our children forever, to do all the Words of this Torah.” – Deuteronomy 29:29
(Now I do not recommend "cherry-picking verse(s)", so do read ALL of chapter 29 and 30 as well. To get the best context, the entire book of Deuteronomy is best, it truly is an easy read. Do read it slowly, like when you chew good food and want to savor each flavor or every bite. 😉)
The Creator of Heaven & Earth would like to reveal secrets in His Word…to us! What a mighty Elohim!! To want to share secrets with us, His creation! However, there is a stipulation… (re-read the verse) It will be revealed so we can do all the Words of His Torah (or His Instructions).
Have you ever been reading the scriptures and you just “get it” or “understand” what it is saying? That is Yahuah revealing a secret to you because He saw you as trustworthy with what He already revealed to you in His Word, so He gave you more. You were ready for the next step to be revealed, so you would be able to walk out all the Words of His Torah.
Perhaps you were on the flip side of this scenario. You are reading and you do not get it. You finished reading a chapter, verse(s), or book and you could not figure out what it meant. It could be Yah waiting to see if you are trustworthy in something He already shared with you. You may be doing it and He is watching your faithfulness to it. So He waits to watch your character be strengthened. And then BAM! He reveals the next nugget in His Word to you!
One example of this is after the resurrection. Take a moment to read Luke Chapter 24, targeting vs. 24-53

Did you see it? Did you see where Yahushua, the Messiah, gave the disciples an understanding of the scriptures? Understanding of why He had to suffer, die, and rise again AND why they needed to follow the command to share repentance and forgiveness of sins to all the nations and multiply themselves. (Vs. 26, 27, 32, 44-49) Disciples who are disciplined to the Whole Word breathed by the Creator (1 Tim 4:16 & 17)!
Remember these were Yahushua’s disciples, folks he ate with, spoke with, and shared understanding of parables and they did not understand all the Words of the Torah. They had to be found faithful to the Creator and His Word. He would not cast His pearls before swine (Matthew 7:6 & 7).
So yes, the Creator of Heaven & Earth (Yahuah/Yahushua) has secrets in His Word that He will only reveal as you seek Him wholeheartedly, to walk out His Words.
